Today, Jacqueline was out in Plas Madoc, cleaning the hedge along the top end of Hampden Way and tackling litter in Dinas and Alwen. Her hard work resulted in six full bags of rubbish collected, plus the carcass of a fitted oven left by the litter bin at the Hampden Way bus stop!
Her dedication to making our community a cleaner and safer place is truly inspiring! If you’d like to get involved and make a difference, we’d love to have you on board.

To honour this special occasion, Cefn Community Council Chairman, Mr. Phil Vaughan, personally visited the couple to offer his heartfelt congratulations on behalf of the community. As a token of celebration, he presented them with a beautiful bouquet from Maypole Florist, a symbol of the strength and beauty of their six decades together.
Reflecting on their incredible achievement, Chairman Vaughan shared his admiration:
“Sixty years of marriage is not just a milestone—it is a masterpiece. It is a testament to love’s ability to endure, to grow, and to inspire all of us. In a world that changes so quickly, Mr. & Mrs. Harrison stand as a shining example of devotion, proving that true love isn’t just a story in books—it’s real, and it flourishes right here in our community. It was an absolute privilege to celebrate them, and I wish them many more years of joy and togetherness.”
The couple expressed their gratitude for the outpouring of love and support from family, friends, and the wider community, making their special day even more memorable.
At Cefn Community Council, we believe in honouring and celebrating the incredible people who make our community so special. If you know someone celebrating a milestone birthday or anniversary, let us know—we would love to help mark their special day!

The plan, developed by Andy Dunbobbin, Police and Crime Commissioner for North Wales, is based on feedback from over 4,600 residents, as well as input from North Wales Police and key partners.
A stronger local neighbourhood policing presence
Support for victims, communities, and businesses
A fair and effective criminal justice system
The plan focuses on police visibility and tackling antisocial behaviour (ASB)—concerns that were highlighted as top priorities by communities across North Wales.
The Police and Crime Commissioner will now work closely with North Wales Police Chief Constable Amanda Blakeman to implement these priorities across the region.
