Cefn Community Council are delighted to report a further three defibrillators have been installed in the community. Thank you to all involved at WCBC with your assistance and permission to site the units on their buildings. Special thanks are also relayed to Tomos Hughes at Welsh Ambulance Service for his assistance with the project.

There are now six defibrillators in the community accessible 24 hours a day, due to kind donations one was fundraised by people of Cefn community, the remaining five have been funded by Cefn Community Council.

The locations are as follows:

Ty Mawr Country Park, Cae Gwilym Lane, Cefn. 

Hinds Shop Bro Gwilym, Cefn.

George Edwards Hall, Well Street, Cefn.

Llys Y Graig, Rock Road, Rhosymedre

Eagles, Llangollen Road, Acrefair.

Housing Office, Plas Madoc, Acrefair.

Due to the postponed meeting of Cefn Community Council on 27^th April 2021, Cefn Community Council will be holding their virtual monthly meeting on Tuesday 4^th May 2021 @ 6.30p.m, members of the public are most welcome to attend. 

There will be a presentation at the start of the meeting regarding the Ebenezer Building, we would like to encourage the public to attend the meeting to receive factual information regarding Cefn Community Councils involvement.

Please note: To comply with standing orders, at the start of the meeting, Public questions will be taken about any item on the agenda from Cefn Community Residents who have by noon on Monday 3^rd May 2021 giving notice to the Clerk, to the Community Council’s office either in writing or via an email to [email protected]

I am pleased to inform you that carriageway resurfacing works are due to commence on Cae Gwilym Lane on week commencing Monday the 2^nd of November with an anticipated duration of 2 weeks. The resurfacing is from just before Coronation Street turning coming from Ty Mawr direction to just after Heol Abon junction. 

In order to facilitate the works safely and to aid with efficiency a road closure with approved diversion route will be required, pre-warning signs have been specified in order to provide some advanced notice to users of the proposed works and traffic management.
