Plaskynaston Football Ground is a modern, inclusive facility at the heart of Cefn Mawr — officially approved as an FAW Tier 3 ground and proudly supporting grassroots football, youth development, and school sport.

⚽ A True Community Hub
Plaskynaston is not exclusive to any one team. It is a shared community space, supporting:
- 🟢 Cefn Albion FC (Senior Men – FAW Tier 3)
- 🟠 Cefn Mawr Rangers Youth
- 🏫 Local schools and educational groups
- 🧒 Grassroots football and youth clubs
The ground also proudly hosts local school sports days and major community events — including the very first Cefn Olympics in 2024, thanks to the vision and commitment of Vice Chairman Cllr. Derek Wright and Cllr. Gaynor Wright.
🛠️ Major Improvements Delivered
Thanks to funding from Cadwyn Clwyd, the Shared Prosperity Fund, Jones Bros, and Cefn Community Council, the following upgrades were completed:
- 🪑 New 100-seat spectator stand
- 📏 FAW-compliant pitch dimensions (98m x 64m)
- 🚶♂️ Two-sided hard standing spectator areas
- 🛠️ Modern team dugouts
- ♿ Accessible ambulance and disability access
- 🚿 Refurbished changing rooms for players and officials
These works have transformed Plaskynaston into a high-standard, multipurpose ground ready to serve our whole community.
