Audit Notice 2020

AUDIT NOTICE: Publication of Audited Accounts for the year ended 31st March 2020

This Public Notice dated 24th September 2020 informs that the accounting statements in the form of an annual return have been published on the Council’s website. However, the accounts are published before the conclusion of the audit. Due to the impact of COVID-19, the Auditor General has not yet issued an audit opinion.  

CEFN COMMUNITY COUNCIL REMUNERATION TO MEMBERS OF THE COUNCIL FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31 MARCH 2020

In accordance with Section 151 of the Local Government (Wales) Measure 2011, the Independent Remuneration Panel for Wales requires that: Relevant authorities must make arrangements for the publication within the authority area of the remuneration received by its members and co-opted members (including chairs of JOSCs or sub-committees of JOSCs).

This information must be published and provided to the Panel no later than 30 September following the end of the year to which the payments relate. The following information must be provided: a. The amount of basic salary, senior salary, civic salary and co-opted member fee paid to each named member/co-opted member of the relevant authority, including where the member had chosen to forego all or part of the salary, or fee for the municipal year in question.

Statement from Cefn Community Council

CORONAVIRUS & COUNCIL BUSINESS ARRANGEMENTS:  The Council including any Committee Meetings will be cancelled for the foreseeable future to limit non-essential social activity and interaction with the community. The George Edwards Hall is closed to the public.
