Cefn Community Council would like to give a very special thank you to Mr Lewis Gurran of Incredible Edible Wrexham, who kindly arrived at George Edwards Hall Community Garden last Wednesday with a fantastic selection of plants to help improve and develop the space.

Lewis brought along white strawberries, hops, chocolate mint, walnut, quince and many more wonderful additions, all of which will help enhance the garden alongside our wild garlic, which continues to thrive beautifully.

Andrew Ruscoe, Community Development Officer, commented:

“Lewis turned up kindly and unexpectedly, which was a very welcome surprise. He is such a talented and informative young man, and we fully recommend and appreciate him. What stood out most was that he did not just drop the plants off — he actually got his hands dirty and planted them in.”

This kind of community support makes a real difference, and it is fantastic to see people giving their time, knowledge and energy to help improve local spaces for everyone to enjoy.

Thank you so much to Incredible Edible Wrexham — but most importantly, thank you Lewis.

You are a real credit to our community. 🌿
