Cefn Community Council is pleased to share the North Wales Police and Crime Plan 2025-2028, which sets out the key priorities for policing in our region over the next three years.

The plan, developed by Andy Dunbobbin, Police and Crime Commissioner for North Wales, is based on feedback from over 4,600 residents, as well as input from North Wales Police and key partners.

Key Priorities of the Plan:

✅ A stronger local neighbourhood policing presence
✅ Support for victims, communities, and businesses
✅ A fair and effective criminal justice system

The plan focuses on police visibility and tackling antisocial behaviour (ASB)—concerns that were highlighted as top priorities by communities across North Wales.

The Police and Crime Commissioner will now work closely with North Wales Police Chief Constable Amanda Blakeman to implement these priorities across the region.

What a magical evening we had at the George Edwards Hall Christmas Fair!

Despite the blustery winds and pouring rain brought by Storm Darragh, the festive spirit shone brighter than ever. The George Edwards Hall was a hive of activity, filled with laughter, joy, and holiday cheer, thanks to the incredible community that makes Cefn such a special place.

The event featured a variety of wonderful stalls, festive goodies, and a delicious selection of cakes from MoonBakes, who joined us at the last minute—thank you for stepping in and saving the day! The highlight of the evening was the outstanding performance by the children of Ysgol Cefn Mawr. Their beautiful singing echoed beyond the hall, lighting up the streets and warming everyone’s hearts.

Santa himself made a surprise appearance, spreading early Christmas joy with gifts for the little ones, much to their delight!

A massive thank you goes out to our dedicated Councillors, who supported this event from start to finish, and to our phenomenal Clerk, Trina Nicholls-Smith, whose meticulous organisation and tireless efforts ensured everything ran smoothly.

Mr. Phil Vaughan, Chair of Cefn Community Council, shared his thoughts:
“Tonight was a true testament to the strength and spirit of our community. Storm Darragh may have brought the rain, but it couldn’t dampen the warmth and togetherness inside the George Edwards Hall. Thank you to everyone who made this event such a resounding success.”
